Best Edition The ARRL Extra Class License Manual with FREE EASY Reading!

The printing is a nice size and the font is pleasing to read, that said, Reading you're going to be doing a lot in this book. In my opinion while it is helpful to have theory it spends a lot of time doing just that. Granted for me I love to learn so it is a none issue but for many people they want to get to questions, then the choices of answers and while this book does that its pretty complicated to get there. By the time you get to the questions and choices of answers you forget and have to read it over and maybe read it over several times because you spent so much time with the theory. Most people study memorize the questions and the answer and many never look back because they are only interested in getting the license and have no time to learn theory. I have been an Amateur Operator since the early 90's an by no means do I mean to knock anyone who loves electronics as I do but I also understand that younger people aren't really interested in building circuits or even antenna's . Some are some aren't and that is great Amateur Radio has so many different aspects it has something for ANYONE but these study guides that are laid out so complicated doesn't help our hobby gain new younger folks. That's just my opinion. CW is no longer required maybe it is time we don't require some other things as well. Electronics isn't for everyone, neither is building antenna's. Maybe it would better to include more modern approach to out testing than relaying on something that doesn't gain a wide audience. Sorry, Do not mean to offend anyone it is just my opinion. I love electronics and love to learn and do projects and build a few antennas now and then but the larger majority if Hams I have talked to have No desires to do either they enjoy more modern means like Digital stuff and Computer related communications. It's just how it is....
